Location: Richmond
History: Jinsun Bradner started her business last September. “I’ve always enjoyed food — eating and the preparation of it — and thought, wow, I could do this for a living,” she says. “I’ve had 9-to-5 jobs but they were not satisfying. I like to be my own boss. “
Specialties: She bakes a variety of items including biscotti, madeleines, muffins, cherry kuchen and specialties like tiramisu. Her most popular items to date are her scones and lemon squares, both of which tend to sell out quickly.
Production Methods: Bradner isn’t telling. “Like all good bakers, I have my secret recipes and ingredients,” she says. “Sorry, for my eyes only. “
Where to get it in RVA: Byrd House Farmers Market, Ashland Farmers Market, The Farmers Market @ St. Stephen’s, New Highland Baptist Church Market, and you can also contact Bradner through Facebook at Rina Home Baked Goods.
