On June 2, Richmond's Broad Appétit gets under way with Off-Broad Appétit at Pasture (416 E. Grace St.) at 6:30 p.m. Six acclaimed chefs from across the country will prepare dishes with food from producers across Virginia. Guests will have the opportunity to chat with the chefs and producers in a cocktail hour before the dinner. Tickets to the event are $150, with net proceeds benefiting FeedMore. On Sunday, June 3, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., as many as 75 local restaurants will occupy Broad Street between Monroe and Adams streets, offering their culinary creations for $3 a plate. New restaurants at the event include Legend Brewing Co., Carytown Burgers and Fries, Nacho Mama's and Peter Chang China Café, says Jessica Braum Corbett of Echelon Event Management. New on the demo stage will be chef Sean Brock of Husk in Charleston, S.C., along with his lamb supplier, Virginia native Craig Rogers, and brewers speaking about the local beer scene. Proceeds go to FeedMore, which has received more than $15,000 from Broad Appétit in the past three years. (Richmond magazine is a primary sponsor of the event.)
