Unleash your inner Francophile during the fifth annual French Food Festival on April 20 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sample classic examples of French cuisine from French chef extraordinaire Paul Elbling, owner of the former La Petite France and mastermind of this event, which benefits the Little Sisters of the Poor and the elderly they care for. Other participating chefs include Sean Murphy of the Savory Grain with Cajun cuisine, John Maher of Spoon with his spin on contemporary French farm-to-table dishes and chef Joseph Andreoli of Dressed and Pressed with French bistro fare. (Truffled tater tots, anyone?) New this year is a wine garden with tastings featuring wines selected and recommended by Chef Paul himself. Admission is free, but a $2 donation is suggested. 1503 Michaels Road, 288-6245, or visit rvafrenchfoodfestival.com for more details.
