Food from Hanover County restaurants and caterers will be showcased during the eighth annual A Taste of Hanover festival from 5 to 8 p.m. on April 25 inside the Bass Pro Shops at 11550 Lakeridge Parkway. New vendors this year include Farmer Johnson's Country Kitchen, Li'Mor Custom Cupcakes, Sleepy Bear Coffee and Q Barbecue. Guests can also enjoy live music, regional beer and wine. The event benefits Hanover Arc and Hanover Community Support Services, two nonprofit organizations that aim to help children and adults with disabilities. Tickets are $25 in advance for adults, $10 for children and $30 at the door. They can be purchased online and at EVB's Ashland and Kings Charter branches, and at Italian Kitchen in Mechanicsville.
