The black-tie-optional sampler extravaganza Zest Fest returns to Richmond for its (lucky) 13th year on Feb. 23 from 6 to 11 p.m. In conjunction with the Virginia Wine Expo, 20 chefs and restaurants will be on hand to serve up some of their signature dishes. Among the chefs planning to participate are Tuffy Stone of Q Barbecue and A Sharper Palate catering, J Frank of Dixie Donuts, and Erik Henkel of Martin's Food Markets. The Jefferson Hotel and Cakes by Graham will also be represented. The evening will include music by Triple Scoop as well as live and silent auctions, with proceeds benefiting FeedMore. "Typically, the event raises approximately $175,000 for FeedMore," says Christy Dalton, spokeswoman for the event. "It's an evening of sampling from the best chefs, Virginia wineries and breweries around town, all while helping fight hunger in Central Virginia." To buy tickets ($150 per person or $1,400 for a table of 10), call 305-0601 or visit feedmore.org/zest-fest .
