Just before the holidays begin, from Nov. 15 to 24, Cider Week Virginia will take place across the state, with eight Virginia cideries participating in the collaborative event. Courtney Mailey, owner of Manchester's Blue Bee Cider, says, "I'm excited to meet new customers, to get out of the cellar and see the light on people's faces when they taste our cider for the first time." Events include the Richmond Cider Celebration at the 17th Street Farmers' Market on Nov. 16 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and then throughout the week, an assortment of cider pairing workshops, cider tastings hosted by Camden's Dogtown Market and the Little House Green Grocery, and cider cocktails will be available at local restaurants. A complete calendar of event times and locations is available at ciderweekva.com .
