In July, the VCU Massey Cancer Center was ranked in the top 40 in U.S. News & World Report's 2010-2011 list of America's best hospitals. Massey was slotted at 38 out of almost 1,500 eligible medical institutions. Massey, which has teams to care for patients with more than 50 types of cancer, will partner this month with the Joan Grossmann Fegely Foundation for a day focused on ovarian cancer. The free, daylong seminar on Sept. 11 includes national experts who will offer the latest information on treatment. The sessions are geared toward survivors, their families and people who are at high risk. The event, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be held at the Richmond Marriott. For more information, visit wcn.org.
