With this year's Complete Sourcebook, we set out to see the Richmond region through our readers' eyes. So, we launched the RVA Point-and-Shoot Project ― an open invitation for Richmonders to show us the moments, events, attractions and faces that they see.
We expected to learn something and to be able to share it with the region. What we didn't expect is exactly how much we would learn about the people who live here. You like to be outside and explore. You enjoy fun events. You love animals. You have a keen interest in weather. You like good food. And, of course, you have a sense of humor. But you also have a good eye, you possess an artistic streak, and you're eager to document the people and things around you.
Along with this project, we sponsored our first-ever photo contest, drawing many creative views of life in the region. Our photo judges selected a cast of winners, but here's a small selection of other images that also caught their eye.
