After traveling around the country for the past 31 years, the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, the world's largest annual wheelchair sports competition, will return to Richmond at the Hunter Holmes McGuire Veterans Affairs Medical Center from June 25 to 30. U.S. Army veteran Preston Curry of Henrico County will be one of the more than 500 athletes competing. "[Wheelchair sports have] given me more confidence and a higher self-esteem," says Curry, who competes in hand-cycling, tennis and lacrosse.
