Co-authors Brooks Smith and Wayne Dementi reunite to bring us Facts & Legends of Sports in Richmond , a tome that delivers stories about the Richmond Rebels, the city's pro football team in the 1930s, and the Tour duPont, which brought elite cyclists through town during the 1990s. You may have heard Smith's sports essays on WCVE-FM during Morning Edition 's local news breaks. The book will be available in stores Nov. 1, and proceeds benefit Richmond Sports Backers.
