After a winter that saw huge accumulations of snow, Wintergreen — with 93 inches of natural powder — had a great season. With the resort just 90 minutes or so from Richmond, its extensive snowmaking equipment makes it worth visiting the 26 slopes and trails (with 14 slopes illuminated for nighttime schussing) even when the weather's not as cooperative.
