A background in interior design inspires the bright, bold colors in Rachel Quint's handmade jewelry. "I wanted a different creative outlet, aside from interior design, to do in my spare time," Quint says of her jewelry line Silver Lining Décor . The Glen Allen resident will show her wares at a trunk show at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts gift shop on Oct. 25 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. "I like the idea of using old pieces that one woman wore and cherished many years ago and turning it into something the modern girl can wear today," Quint says of her jewelry, which includes vintage pins, jewels and other baubles.
