Goochland resident Cynthia McCarthy , who started creating jewelry 25 years ago, is making a comeback of sorts. The former owner of Shockoe Slip's Glass Roots Gallery, which closed in 2004, was recently picked up by Saxon Shoes and Adolf Jewelers. Her designs, which use stones, crystals and glass beads (like the leaves pictured here) are all one-of-a-kind. This beaded necklace is available at Saxon for $76. Adolf carries her higher-end creations.
