You'll come out smelling like you belong in a flower garden when you exfoliate and moisturize with Flower Peddler's new crop. The local company is blooming over with fresh new body products and fragrances, all made in their Ashland workshop with natural ingredients. This spring, a good scrub should include one of their body polishes or Pacific salt glows, which whisk away dead skin cells to create a baby-soft feel — plus, they're creamier than most scrubs so you won't be left feeling bone dry. The scrubs are available in Vanilla Orchid, Caribbean Blue and Lemongrass Poppyseed.
New handmade soap and lotion scents this season include Southern Jonquils and Chesapeake. Launched in 2002, Flower-Peddler is the brainchild of Michele Keiper, a former Air Force officer who took up floral design then segued into making bath and beauty products. The business recently relocated from Keiper's home to a space on Ashland's Air Park Drive, where she and a team of employees make the products, ship them out wholesale and sell then through an on-site showroom. Their full line is also available at flower-peddler.com.
