To kick off the new Virginia Museum of Fine Arts exhibition "Posing Beauty in African American Culture," Fredericksburg-based artist Season Smith-Wesley will hold a trunk show of her Liberia-inspired jewelry line AdAl Jewelry Designs at the museum gift shop on April 26. "The designs, colors and techniques that I use in my jewelry will accompany [the exhibit] very well," Smith-Wesley says of the pieces that pay homage to her West African upbringing.
