This floral maxi dress is reminiscent of the '70s, but Katie's vest makes it fresh.

Jon uses accessories like his beaded necklace and bag to elevate his ensemble, while Lizzy's beautiful, fluffy 'fro makes a statement on its own.
It’s fall for real, y’all, and RVA residents are breaking out the layers, deep colors and rich textures to create some seriously inspiring looks. I’ve put together a few of my favorites from October, so whether you’re headed into the office, to a vineyard or a pumpkin patch, these Richmonders have you covered.
Marleigh Culver (@marleigiela) has mixed staples like a black leather jacket and cream turtleneck with more modern pieces such as this two-piece burnt orange skirt and green bag for a sophisticated yet fun look. The pop of lavender in her shoes is the perfectly unexpected finishing touch.

I’m totally digging the boho vibe of Katie Bluestein’s (@katiebluesalon) outfit here. The leather vest and boots toughen up the girly floral maxi just enough to balance out the hot pink lipstick and statement necklace.

More denim! I love that Sydney Page Lester (@chicstripes) made her chambray button-up office appropriate with a leather skirt and colorful heels. To winterize it, I’d just add black tights and a faux fur vest.

Demita’s (@oddlyfashionable) boyfriend jeans and pointy toe flats are so on trend, as is her houndstooth shawl. She looks cozy, chic and cool — the ultimate style triumvirate.

Did I say something about more denim? Greg Houser (@greghouser) is doubling down on the denim here, a tricky feat to pull off but one he manages by pairing two different washes. The small details — rolled cuffs, polka dot pocket square and hat — are what really elevate this outfit from everyday to elegant. Yet another ensemble I’d totally borrow from the boys.

Both Jon Cope (@inmyfashionblog) and his friend Lizzy are killing me with their coolness. I mean honestly — his beaded necklace, her hair — their looks are effortlessly stylish and I can’t get enough. I’ve already declared my undying love for the perfectly proportioned vintage sweatshirt. And his tunic/jacket combo would make even the most lady-like of ladies who lunch envious.
