In April, former Feathernesters owners Marc Goswick and Tony Turner hatched a home décor retail space near the Amtrak station on Staples Mill Road. "We have whimsical, funky and fabulous things for your home and garden," Turner says of Birds of a Feather. The 4,000-square-foot working warehouse includes a wood shop and art studio where Turner, Goswick and resident artist Mona Burk create objets d'art, furniture, stationery and more from salvaged pieces. Every month, they open the warehouse to the public for four days of shopping. "It's ever-changing," Turner says of the wares that range in price from $1 to $1,000. This month, the showroom will be open Aug. 15 to 18. For more information, call 263-7956 or visit feathernesters.com .
