Stacy Struminger cringes when she remembers sitting in a meeting at a friend's air-conditioned house last May. "It was hot and humid in Richmond, and it was raining," the Manhattan transplant to Richmond says. "I was freezing, my clothes were wet, and I was thinking, ‘This is ridiculous. I don't have anything to wear to protect my clothes.' " A few months later, Struminger launched Rainraps with her friend and business partner Rachel Teyssier.
