For more than five years, the Greater Richmond National Ovarian Cancer Coalition has hosted a fundraising tea at the Westwood Club, but a few months ago, coalition president Julie Seibert received a call from the mother of an 8-year-old who recently underwent surgery for ovarian cancer. "We are learning that it isn't just an older woman's disease," Seibert says. This year, the coalition will hold its fundraising event at Bogeys Sports Park on Sept. 16.
