After seven years as a product researcher for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare, Lynsi Montgomery made the bold decision to pursue her first passion — fashion. "I couldn't be in the lab anymore," Montgomery says with a laugh. "My personality is not right for the lab." On April 3, the 30-year-old Montgomery opened Pieces Boutique and Consignment across from Crossroads Coffee and Ice Cream at 1301 W. Main St. The 664-square-foot store carries such brands as Patagonia, Vineyard Vines, Guess and Ralph Lauren, as well as items from local artists and designers. "Business is going great," Montgomery says. "I didn't mind making less than I was at Pfizer because it was a passion, but I'm actually doing better than I was there."
