Sure, Short Pump has its fair share of construction and congestion, but there is also peace among the dump trucks. Let's Face It Salon and Spa ( 201 Towne Center West Blvd., Suite 705, 364-1112 ) opened last fall, offering facials, massage, waxing and body treatments for women and men. Owner Tamara Miller says that after working in full-service salons, she wanted to focus on facials and massage to create a sense of uninterrupted luxury.
"The one thing that bothered me was that it was still noisy," Miller says of her previous salon/spa experiences. "You could still hear blow dryers and smell nail polish."
Miller and staff use three service rooms to provide a soundproof relaxation experience. Let's Face It is one of nine spas in the country (among them Fred Segal Salon in Los Angeles and the Ritz Carlton chain) certified to carry Carita, the French line used in the skin-revitalizing facial, the Renovateur.
The Renovateur is a 20-minute facial massage, utilizing roasted sunflower seeds and purifying oils to combat fine lines and wrinkles, and promote a radiant complexion. While pricier services peak at $393 for 4.5 hours — the Let's Be Spoiled package includes a facial, massage body treatment, spa lunch and makeup application and lesson — a 30-minute massage costs $60.
