For two years, Shenandoah Valley native Jamie Slye , who now lives in the Near West End, has sewn vintage headpieces and birdcage veils for brides. But when she was accepted as a vendor at the South by Southwest music festival in Austin, Texas, this March, the 28-year-old included everyday accessories. "Anyone can wear them," Slye says of the feminine headpieces made from vintage brooches, buttons and even belt buckles. Her new line includes adornments made from bright and patterned fabrics.
