When her first child, Owen, was born with acid reflux, Ingrid Lassiter found herself weighed down with dirty clothes because when her son spit up, it'd go right through the thin burp cloth. "I was so tired of doing laundry," the West End resident says, laughing. So Lassiter started sewing thick bibs and burp cloths by hand with her friend and fellow young mother, Stephanie Tefel, and in 2008 the pair founded Owen & Amelia, a baby-essentials business named after their children.
