One of the best destinations in town for decorative pillows is Janet Brown Interiors. Talk about a selection. Rows of attractive pillows are stacked enticingly on shelves, showcased on couches and often found outside of the store on the sidewalk in Cary Court. In stock you’ll find traditional, embroided, and geometric looks — a pillow for every style and taste.
Janet Brown is currently having a big pillow sale. All outdoor pillows are 20 percent off.
Outdoor varities have come a long way. They’re weatherproof and mildew resistant, yes, but soft to the touch. More and more it’s hard to distinguish outdoor pillows from indoor ones.
Pictured is an outdoor pillow by Elaine Smith. Her outdoor designs are luxurious, made with special dyed yarns and are stain, water and fade resistant. Why not consider using some in a family room where they can stand up to kids, dogs and food mishaps while still providing stand-out looks in your décor?
The colorful Ikat design above is called “Tourmaline.” It’s a generous 26-by-26 inches and available now in the shop. I love its punched up colors. Look for the designer’s “Galapagos” dragonfly pillow there, too. The peridot version is lovely with its fancy, multicolored fringe.
