Find gifts for the gardener at Lewis Ginter Garden Shop's "Cheers to Shopping" event.
Who can’t use some holiday cheer right about now?
Tomorrow night, Thursday, Nov. 10, there are two options for injecting some sparkle and glitter into your life.
First, while most people know Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden as one of Richmond’s most inspiring and beautiful places to visit — especially during the holiday season with its annual Dominion GardenFest of Lights ‑ it’s also a fantastic destination for shopping.
From 5 to 8 p.m. Lewis Ginter will help you get a jump-start on your holiday tasks with “Cheers to Shopping” in its Garden Shop. It's a chance to get a fist look at gift options for everyone on your list, including nature-themed gifts for kids.
Each guest will receive a small box with either a gift or discount coupon inside. Local food columnist Clare Osdene Schapiro will be on hand signing copies of her book, “Stories and Recipes from Clare’s Kitchen,” and inspiration for gift-wrapping, holiday tablescapes and decorating will abound. Richmond magazine also will be on hand with its special holiday subscription gift box.
You can sample Virginia wines and local brews while you shop, and top off the night with dinner in the Garden Café. Get more details here.
Across town, Williams & Sherrill and R•Home will host “Embellish” from 6 to 8 p.m. Enjoy food and drink while perusing the store, decked out in its holiday finery. Jamie Coffey, Williams & Sherrill’s creative visionary, will share tips for entertaining and gift giving. The event also will feature a maker’s market with local artisans and bakeries, and floral designers will be on hand to take your holiday orders. Bring a new or gently used blanket with you to donate to the Caritas Furniture Bank and receive a coupon for 20 percent off any bedding purchase or any one item in the store. Please RSVP here for Embellish.
