Richmond designer Dana Gibson is a national darling. Her hand-painted items – pillows, lamps cachepots and accent furniture – are favorites of publications like House Beautiful (and R•Home), along with designers and boutique shoppers from Rhode Island to California. Her pieces have been featured at Nieman Marcus and Henri Bendel.
Tomorrow, Oct. 23, through Saturday, Oct. 25, Gibson’s shop will host its annual sample sale. Ripe with great prices, you’ll find plenty of items bearing her signature trellis, zigzag and Canton patterns. One is the “Pink Mesh” ginger jar pictured above. If you can't make it in person, use the code "DG789" to receive 20 percent off at danagibson.com.
Gibson’s line also includes frames, trays, tea towels, tissue box covers and travel and tote bags. Look for those at the sale as well.
Gibson has designed a colorful fabric and wallpaper line for Stroheim, too, which is available through local designers. The sample sale will have fabric remnants from this collection. Her latest venture is a new line of furniture using these fabrics, created in partnership with the MT Company. Gibson is currently introducing this line at the October 2014 International Home Furnishings Market in High Point, North Carolina
Shop the annual sample sale Thursday and Friday, Oct. 23-24, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 25 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dana’ Gibson's shop and studio is at 6414 Horsepen Road.
