Raise a glass to Muse Vineyards and their 2009 “Clio,” the top winner at this year’s Virginia Wineries Association’s Governor’s Cup. The awards were announced in late February.
Clio, a Meritage, is a rich and multilayered blend of Bordeaux grapes.
The candle pictured — Volupsa’s Maison Rouge - Figue de Bordeaux — captures its bouquet.
Clio’s winemakers describe its nose “of blackberry…cinnamon, leather and anise.”
The Figue de Bordeaux candle pictured, $27 at Nordstrom, shares this bouquet, with a rich aroma of ripe, tart fruit. I love the fragrance and Meritage-colored glass.
