September 12th

Virginia Repertory Theatre Presents "September 12th," a play in one act about Richmond students on 9/11. Written by LA-based screenwriter and UR Alumnus Ryan Frost, this is a free commemorative event for the Richmond community. The play will be on September 10th and September 11th at 7:00 PM.
Three weeks into the new school year, five freshmen find themselves living through the events of September 11th in a dorm room at Richmond. Far away from their families and everything they’ve known, they stay up all night telling jokes, sharing stories, and asking “What will tomorrow be like?” as they wait for the sun to rise in answer to their question.
Featuring students from the University of Richmond Department of Theatre and Dance and a post-show talkback with Dr. Monica Siebert, UR Professor of 9/11 Literature, Dr. John Gordon, Chairman Emeritus, UR History, Dr. Jennifer Nourse, Chair UR Sociology/Anthropology
