The Children's Museum of Richmond (above) turns 30 in 2011; it opened its doors in 1981 at a former school in what was then Navy Hill in downtown Richmond. Today the museum has expanded to a large building on Broad Steet in the Fan and an auxiliary branch in Short Pump.
