The Fifth Annual Israeli Film Festival continues its mission of fostering an understanding of Israeli culture through the presentation of four films. The winner of six Israeli Academy Awards, including Best Picture, this year’s featured film, Bethlehem, tells the tragic story of the relationship between an Israeli intelligence officer and his Palestinian informant. First-time writer and director Yuval Adler drew on his experience from his service in Israeli military intelligence to create a morally complex film that offers both Israeli and Palestinian viewpoints. Co-written by Ali Waked, a Palestinian journalist, the screening takes place Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the Weinstein JCC. $12 per film or $42 for all four. 285-6500 or weinsteinjcc.org.
