Be transported to the roaring ’20s when Butchertown Burlesque comes to TheatreLAB on Nov. 18. The creator of the show, Deanna Danger of Deanna Danger Productions, says the basement of TheatreLAB is rumored to have originally been a speakeasy, so the venue is a perfect fit for the show.
Hear vintage swing and jazz from The Butchertown Cats Orchestra as dancers in jeweled and feathered garb perform risqué routines. “It is a very immersive burlesque show,” Danger says. “We encourage the audience to get up and dance as well.”
Participants are required to wear vintage or cocktail attire. 9 p.m. $15 to $25.
