They're big and brassy and have every right to strut with pride. The No BS Brass band, recipients in 2008 of Richmond magazine's Theresa Pollak Prize for Excellence in the Arts, have released a new album, Alive in Richmond. They embody Bourbon Street, but they're often on Broad Street, and the fat rich sounds, mostly on original pieces and sometimes on imaginative covers, just make you want to move. They'll be playing The Camel on March 27, and for information on other upcoming appearances, visit nobsbrass.com.
