To celebrate its 100th anniversary, St. Christopher's School has pulled together an impressive lineup of speakers for its third annual Building Leaders symposium, taking place on Nov. 18 and 19.
"Our goal is to help Richmond's youth understand the criticial skills required to be effective, ethical leaders," says Susan Mistr, St. Christopher's director of marketing and communications. "Helping parents, educators, and youth mentors to be in the best possible position to teach and encourage all our children to practice these values and skills is vital to this mission."
Tickets for Friday's event featuring former Secretary of State Colin Powell sold out a while ago, but you can still catch an range of speakers at Saturday's symposium, including World Champion
eco-adventure racer Robyn Benincasa; Li Cunxin, a former ballet dancer who defected from China at the age of 20; social entrepreneur Doc Hendley; and youth advocate Wes Moore.
"We look to individuals who have demonstrated character, honor and integrity in all they do," Mistr says.
