Floyd and Claude Allen were the only members of the Allen clan to be sentenced to death in the courthouse shootings. The others involved faced varying jail terms, according to state records recently published online by the Library of Virginia in its "Out of the Box" archival series.

Sidna Allen, brother of Floyd Allen, was sentenced to 35 years in the Virginia Penitentiary for first-, second- and third-degree murder. He entered the Penitentiary in 1912 and Gov. Harry F. Byrd pardoned him on April 29, 1926. Friel Allen, nephew of Floyd Allen, was sentenced to 18 years in the Virginia Penitentiary on a conviction of second-degree murder. He entered the Penitentiary in 1912 and Gov. Lee Trinkle pardoned him Oct. 6, 1922. Wesley Edwards, nephew of Floyd Allen, was sentenced to 27 years in the Virginia Penitentiary for two counts of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder. He entered the Penitentiary in 1912 and Gov. Harry F. Byrd pardoned him on April 29, 1926. Sidna Edwards, nephew of Floyd Allen, was sentenced to 15 years in the Penitentiary, after pleading guilty to second-degree murder. He entered the Penitentiary in 1912, and Gov. Harry F. Byrd pardoned him on Oct. 6, 1922.
