Darlene Smith remembers her mother's battle with breast cancer more than 35 years ago. "There was really nothing there for her when she went through it," Smith recalls. In December, Smith opened Hush Fine Lingerie in Midlothian. The shop currently specializes in hard-to-fit and full-figure sizes AA through K cup bras, but in May they will start offering mastectomy compression garments for women who haven't had reconstructive surgery to rebuild their breast after a mastectomy. "The sooner you can get back to physically looking the way you looked before you had surgery, it's a lot easier on your mind, your health and just your entire emotional well being," Smith says.
