Wallpaper is back with a force and now is a great time to give it a try in your home.
Dolce Designs’ semi-annual wallpaper sale is under way. Now through March 31 all papers are 30-percent off.
Dolce is a great destination for a variety of wallpaper lines, Thibaut included. As a premier retailer for the brand, they receive new books and updates every month.
Thibaut’s latest collection, Geometric Resource 2, is ready for view and order. It came out in December.
One new pattern, “Farris ” emits masculine chic as it boyishly flaunts silver hexagons on a deep navy blue field. It would be great in a study or above a bar.
Also pictured above (right) is “Sun Garden" from Thibaut’s Resort collection. Part of a limited-edition line that launched two years ago, the pattern surges with vivacious vibrancy. I’ve admired it for a while, and less 30-percent it’s particularly tempting.
Dolce has introduced me to another premier wallpaper company, Wallquest. Based in New York and with roots tracing back to 1820’s France, Wallquest has six collections, each with many, many books within.
Their English Garden book presents pretty florals and a few soft geometrics. One bold pattern, though, “Chevron Shine,” (above left) leaves me really energized. It amped-up floral chevron is still on-trend, and this design would rock a teen girl’s bedroom.

Dolce Design has a new and bigger home at 11341 W. Broad St. in Glen Allen near Trader Joe’s. Shop hours are Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
