In her new book, 12, Richmond-born and Seattle-based photographer Robin Layton sets out to capture the spirit of the boisterous Seahawks fans, known as “12s,” through a series of abstract, impressionistic images.
Layton, a Pulitzer Prize-nominated photojournalist who worked at the Richmond Times-Dispatch in the late 1980s, will be in town to sign her book ($50, powerHouse Books), which includes a quote from the Seahawks’ Russell Wilson, who also grew up in Richmond.
The author will sign books from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 4 at Capital Ale House in Innsbrook (4024 Cox Road); there will also be a talk from 6 to 7 p.m. and book signing from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5 at Capital Ale’s Music Hall downtown (619 E. Main St.). 12robinlayton.com.
