In David L. Robbins’ novel The End of War, a Jewish man hidden in a basement, an ambitious American photojournalist and the political players of World War II tell the story of the fall of Berlin. In partnership with Virginia Repertory Theatre, the Richmond-based author recently adapted his book into a play. He will discuss that process, and cast members will perform a few scenes, on Nov. 13 (7 p.m., $18) at the opening of the annual Weinstein JCC Jewish Book Fair. Other events include a discussion by Marion Grodin (daughter of talk show host Charles Grodin) about her novel Standing Up: A Memoir of a (Not Always) Funny Life (Nov. 20 at 7 p.m., $15). 285-6500 or weinsteinjcc.org.
