Megan Wilson is a Richmonder who wears many hats (figuratively and literally). The blonde beauty is the Marketing and Communications Manager of CARITAS, a freelance writer, personal shopper, professional closet organizer and blogger.
Wilson started her blog, Sweet Sauce, in 2014 on her 27th birthday. She says she was “in a creative lull and needed something to dig into” and as the former editor of The Collegian, the University of Richmond’s student newspaper, she was confident she had the skill set to “be the editor of my own (blog) that I wanted to read."
She’s more than accomplished that goal; Sweet sauce is definitely a blog that everyone wants to read. It’s is a life and style site packed full of personal style photos, inspiration boards, interior design DIYs, styling tips and RVA adventures. She especially loves the Richmond fashion scene because “Richmond has soul…fashion is a tool of self expression. No one likes to blend in”. Wilson included, of course.
The blogger favors bright prints, punchy colors and playful accessories— just the person to school us all on spring style. I asked Wilson if she’d put together two outfits based on her favorite trends for the upcoming season with pieces she’s found at local boutiques and give us the low down on the looks.
Off the Top

Pantone Water Colors

Crochet is also a big trend for this spring season. I think this is a very classy interpretation of the trend. I'm also wearing high-wasted jeans and those same block heels. I imagine I'll be wearing multiple times a week now that the weather will allow it. (Photo by Isaac Friend)
