If you’re anything like me, you probably don’t have a Father’s Day gift for dear old Dad yet. While I love shopping, this particular version is always a bit of a pain. My dad never comes out and says he wants anything, and picking out gifts for him is just plain difficult (no one wants me wandering around Pleasant’s trying to select tools). For those who suffer similar holiday dilemma, Harvest Grocery is coming to your rescue this Saturday!
The Richmond Pop-Up Market runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features seven vendors selling wares specifically for fathers. Think stainless steel growlers from Shine Craft Vessel Co., leather goods from Helm & Craft, vintage apparel from Yesterday’s Heroes, Richmond-themed prints and other screen-printed goods from Lightbox Print Co., and more. Not to mention there will be grilled goodies from the butcher counter within Harvest to munch on while you shop, as well as knife sharpening — an added bonus for Dad if you can hijack his favorite knife for a few hours.
The best part? Because the market is held at Harvest, if you just can’t find the perfect gift even with all these nifty options, get your dad a delicious steak, pack of local sausage, bottle of wine, six pack of beer or local coffee from the store and he will still be darn happy.
