Chuck Scalin, an artist and former assistant chairman of the VCU Communication Arts and Design Department, is now an impresario of artistic coloring books. You can see the sequel to 2014’s “Artists Coloring Book” on Sept. 18 at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery.
Produced in partnership with Chop Suey Books, it presents a stellar array of 30 artists (including Susanne Arnold, Wolfgang Jasper and Pam Sutherland). The book is for sale ($30), as is original artwork by Scalin.
“Take out your box of crayons or sharpen your colored pencils and get ready to add your own artistic touches,” says Scalin.
