About 13,000 diners will frequent about 30 locally owned restaurants during the 11th Richmond Restaurant Week, from Oct. 22 to 28. "It's an opportunity to pull together locally owned restaurants to support a charity that is in line with what we do," event organizer and Acacia Mid-town co-owner Aline Reitzer says of the biannual event that raised $50,000 for FeedMore last year.
Each participating restaurant will create a three-course, fixed-price menu for $25.12, with $2.12 going toward FeedMore, the umbrella organization for the Central Virginia Food Bank and Meals on Wheels. "It's a huge impact for us at this time of year, when people are going back to school or going into the holidays," says FeedMore events manager Christy Dalton. Reservations are recommended at most participating restaurants. For more information, visit richmondrestaurantweek.com .
