When I moved back to Richmond nearly six years ago, I’m not sure I could have told you where Scott’s Addition was. And yet this summer, I spent my birthday brewery hopping with friends at The Veil Brewing Co. (1301 Roseneath Road) and Ardent Craft Ales (3200 W. Leigh St.), and stopping for a pop and panini at King of Pops/The Reign (3001 W. Clay St.). And let’s not forget the Sichuan cuisine and cocktails at the new Peter Chang (2816 W. Broad St.).
Fat Dragon (1200 N. Boulevard) was among the first to usher in the neighborhood’s new era, leading the way for Lamplighter Roasting Co.’s Roast Lab (1719 Summit Ave.) and The Urban Farmhouse (3015 Norfolk St.). Then there’s the throwback Boulevard Burger & Brew (1300 N. Boulevard), bean outpost Ironclad Coffee Roasters (2904 W. Moore St.), and even more boozy options at Isley Brewing Co. (1715 Summit Ave.), Buskey Cider (2910 W. Leigh St.) or Black Heath Meadery (1313 Altamont Ave.). And what started as Lunch later grew to include Supper (1213-1215 Summit Ave.).
