"I need caffeine. Whatever form you've got. I haven't had any all day. I'll drink it, shoot it, eat it snort it, whatever form it's in."
If your coffee obsession reaches Lorelai Gilmore levels of fanaticism, you're in luck: Stars Hollow's favorite coffee spot, Luke's Diner, is coming to Richmond this week. According to Eater, Netflix is bankrolling a coffee-shop takeover at roughly 250 locations across the United States and Canada to promote next month's four-episode "Gilmore Girls" revival. On Wednesday, VCU's The Lab by Alchemy Coffee and Church Hill's Captain Buzzy's Beanery will both offer limited free 12-ounce cups of coffee until noon.
The Oct. 5 takeover is a nod to the original series' first airdate in 2000 — yes, it has been that long — and will feature branded Luke's T-shirts and aprons to get people buzzing about "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," which premieres on the streaming service Nov. 25.
