You can find a bevy of made-in-Richmond products in one place online at RVA to Go. The company, acquired by Melissa Simmons, the owner of the personal care and beauty business Tailored Touches, offers boxed gifts that feature a mix of Richmond-centric food including Ned’s Barbecue Sauce and Blanchard’s Coffee Co.’s RVA Blend, and bath and beauty items from Tailored Touches such as All Natural Beeswax Balm and Sweet Virginia Tea Soap. “Virginia is For Lovers” glasses, drink koozies, T-shirts and water bottles also are available.
“If you’re new to the city, it’s a good way to be introduced to it — it’s a fun gift,” Simmons says. A box with five items costs $45; a seven-item box is $60; and you can get 10 items for $75. You can pick the items, or they’ll make a selection for you. There’s an additional charge for shipping. The company is celebrating its first anniversary this month, so check online for specials.
