At Muse Paintbar (505-4200 or musepaintbar.com, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive) you can enjoy a bite and a drink as you channel your inner Rembrandt to create paintings.
A class costs $35 and includes supplies. The sessions are led by local artists including Anne Rankin, Matt Cullen and Lydia Baker.
While you’re perfecting strokes, there’s a restaurant and bar available. Advanced registration is recommended to ensure a seat. Private events also can be booked. This is Muse’s 18th location and the second in Virginia. “We like Richmond; it’s obviously a great arts scene,” says Muse co-founder and President Stan Finch.
