Strawberry Fields Flowers & Finds has turned double digits. They’re celebrating today with sweet treats and prizes.
Come by the shop at 423 Strawberry St. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and enjoy strawberry-lemonade popsicles from King of Pops and a super sidewalk sale. Owner Deanna King and her co-workers, Brenna and Casey, are giving away prizes.
“Please come by and celebrate with us,” Deanna says. “You definitely don't want to miss out on the bargains, either.”
I think back happily on all the beautiful, creative flower arrangements I’ve ordered and received from Strawberry Fields over the last 10 years. (And there’s all the money I’ve gleefully spent on stationery and cards.) Candles, too.
A new favorite at the shop: candles by Sydney Hale Co. Strawberry Fields stocks many scents. Grapefruit Hibiscus and Wild Blueberry top my list. The Bourbon + Brown Sugar candle appeals equally to men.
Sydney Hale candles are handmade in small batches by a husband and wife team in Virginia. With sophisticated scents and a 50-hour burn time, they’re made of a premium soy wax blend. The 14-ounce size is $30.
