Bridget Beari Designs, led by Susan Jamieson, is making a national splash once again. Last week, Jamieson’s ad for DXV by American Standard launched in national home décor magazines. The ad showcases a lush, opulent and well-appointed bathroom that Susan designed. (I rushed to Barnes & Noble to pick up the October issues of Southern Homes and Southern Living to see the ad in print.)
DXV is American Standard’s line of luxury bath and kitchen products. The company selected four elite interior designers – Jamieson is just one of two from the United States – for their 2016 campaign. Each designer was assigned an iconic city and an era to inspire them and direct their selections from the company’s four high-end collections.
Susan’s assignment was Charleston and the “Classic Movement” of 1890 to 1920. You can see her design in print and in the cropped image above. The whole elegant vignette will also be on view at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show in January in Orlando.
This week brought more excitement. Yesterday, Bridget Beari’s new wallpapers debuted in the Bradley showroom in New York City. The collection, called “Yackunah #2,” features even more metallic papers.
“In designing for our clients, we found there were not enough patterned metallic papers,” Susan explained. The collection was conceived to be used in spaces beyond walls and to meet an industry need. “The patterns were designed for use on ceilings and for wrapping furniture, too, which we like to do,” says Susan. Each new paper coordinates with Jamieson’s paint collection, Bridget Beari Colors, as well.
Launch events for Bridget Beari’s new paper collection will continue in Atlanta next Wednesday and in Chicago on Oct. 4.
