Chef and restaurant owner Manny Mendez is from Cuba, but his grandparents immigrated to the Spanish-speaking island from northern Spain. The result is a cuisine that’s really a fusion of the two cultures. Our outdoor paella party could take place in either country — and bringing family and friends together for dinner is an ideal way to spend a summer evening right here in Virginia.
