The electronic sound of indie rock/synthpop band Metric plays off Emily Haines’ airy vocals to create music that’s modern, clean and danceable. In recent years, the Canadian four-piece has received multiple Juno awards, opened for The Rolling Stones and Arcade Fire, and contributed to the soundtracks for the films “Cosmopolis,” “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” and “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” Metric arrives at The National on March 8 on the heels of its latest release, “Pagans in Vegas,” with opening band Joywave. 7:30 p.m. $28. 612-1900 or thenationalva.com.
